Lean Streets
A photographic series documenting the residential neighborhood where I grew up in Yakima. The images are quiet portraits of modest homes, facades shaped by routine, endurance, and long-term inhabitation. These streets offered little promise on the surface, yet they shaped everything I understand about space, class, and belonging.
Photographed with an architectural eye, the work treats everyday housing not as backdrop, but as subject, revealing a place that is ordinary to the world, and impossible for me to forget.
About the Artist Shin is an architectural photographer based in Washington State. Trained in architectural design, her work focuses on the relationship between everyday buildings, memory, and place.

Time to Reminisce
A collection designed to encourage contemplation of past challenges and closed chapters, those moments that once seemed insurmountable. Take a moment to acknowledge your journey and how far you've come. While not everyone may be in a state of perfection now, I can assure you that eventual peace and resolution await.
Each person's truth is unique, yet everyone encounters and conquers their own trails. The goal is to wake up each day and face oneself in the mirror. Once, you may have pondered, "How much longer?" Now, the question shifts to, "How lucky am I?"
Challenges will continue to come, yet with time, they will become more manageable and eventually fade away.
Please take a moment to explore the collection thoughtfully, immersing yourself in the depths of emotions and experiences that only the resilient version of yourself today can navigate. Tagging the collection will be a 35mm film roll with photos capturing the personal inspiration behind its creation. Enjoy the journey ☺︎.
